The Bernard Matthews Mid Week Open Knockout Cup Competition 2010

(inc. The Norfolk Junior Cup)

The Competition will be contested by 25 clubs.

The Draw will once again include preliminary rounds and byes to achieve an even path to the semi-finals and finals.

In order to keep the competition going and ensure that all ties are completed before evening light starts to fall in August, clubs are requested to adhere to the following procedures:

The Preliminary Rounds and First Rounds of the Bernard Matthews Cup - clubs are to complete these fixutres by 13 June.

The Norfolk Junior Cup First Round Matches will be played as soon as practicable and will be allocated from June 13 to June 30 to complete all the remaining fixtures in NJC Round One.

Bernard Matthews Cup Round Two will be allocated the same period to complete their fixtures - June 13-30.

The Norfolk Junior Cup Round Two will be played between June 30 and July 4.

Finally, the District Semi-Finals will be completed by August 7.

The finals of both Cup Competitions will be played on Sunday, 12 September at Sprowston CC.

It is now up to clubs drawn at home to contact their opponents to arrange a date for their fixture according to the BM Cup Rules - Paragraph 15.

Please familiarise yourselves witht he rules!

It is intended to apply them more rigourously this season!

For example, on no account will we ever again play the semi-finals on finals day!
